MONTROY was hired by our French client to design and manage a major renovation of the former Brasserie Les Halles at 411 Park Avenue South, transforming it into the new La Brasserie restaurant. The restaurant spans the ground level and cellar of a 100-year-old, three-story, steel-framed building with masonry cladding.

The space was transformed by providing a modern interpretation of the traditional brasserie, while maintaining many of the original details of the historic bar and restaurant. The street level layout was revised to open to the street and accommodate seating and food preparation areas.
The dining room was expanded to provide seating for 175 guests with a new restaurant and kitchen infrastructure. The entire kitchen, bar and back of house spaces are all new.
